luau cupcakes

In addition to the cake, we made about 150 mini-cupcakes! The frosting is made from scratch (recipe: http://www.ourbestbites.com/2008/09/perfect-cupcake-frosting-and-filling/). The toppers were made from Satin Ice gumpaste by hand (go mom!).

Duff Fondant

After almost giving up on fondant, we decided to give it a last shot with store-bought fondant by Duff. It worked! And according to numerous guests, it actually tasted pretty good!

Practice engagement party cake - 2nd time with MMF

This cake had three tiers made of five layers of cake. Each layer was crumb coated with buttercream frosting and then covered separately with marshmallow fondant (MMF). The three layers were attached with frosting in between. It probably could have used a dowel because it slid around during transport (after being left in the heat for a little too long...).

Showers of Happiness

Chocolates made by Jenny!!

Flower pots filled with chocolate lollipops and individually wrapped chocolate candies. Molds included hearts, brides & grooms, wedding bells, and other wedding-themed shapes.

Marshmallow Fondant- first attempt!

All pretty and presentable for someone who doesn't keep Passover to eat!

And take two- the kosher for Passover version.
