Halloween / Birthday Cakepops

To celebrate Jenny & Noa's birthday, I made about 60 cake pops! Orange and black for Halloween, purple for Jenny & pink for Noa.

These were displayed on a block of wood, which I wrapped in paper and drilled holes. I covered it with wax paper while I was working to prevent any drips, but they held up pretty well.

Toppings included candy corn, crushed kit kats, sprinkles, mini m&ms and mini reseeses. The insides were vanilla frosting and funfetti cake mix.

I also made some sugar cookies. I was going to attempt to decorate with royal icing, but that didn't pan out. I used my new cookie cutters though! Instead, I outlined using Wilton Gel Icing. It was sticky and messy and didn't dry before the party, and was still tacky and smudgeable the day after... oops.

Cake Pop Craze

First (well... second) try with cake pops for Melissa's birthday! They definitely get better from here...

Better display in process!
