Thanksgiving Treats

For Thanksgiving, I made another set of cakepops. My lovely sister bought me Bakerella's Cake Pop book and I spent about 6 hours creating these awesome pops- the turkeys were way too time consuming, but they came out adorably!

Since I had some extra cake left over from the cake pops, I decided to make a turkey cake to serve as well. We were having 30 people over, after all!
Shari helped assemble and frost this masterpiece. I feathered the frosting on the top by layering each different color and then dragging a toothpick through at random intervals. The top was made with halved reeses peanut butter cups stuck in using toothpicks. The body of the turkey is made from tinted Duff fondant.

I also spray painted a piece of wood to use as a stand, and then drilled holes into the top. Here it is in action:

And the rest of the cake pops:

Yum Yum Thanksgiving!
